Day 211

Beautiful warm sunny day here today and more warm weather on its way - bring it on!
Wii 1st thing. Tammy dropped Damien of early this morning because she had to take Payton to school - another day for her. Ruby did her Wii after breakfast and I was out doing some more work on the new deck. After her school Payton was here before lunchtime. It being such a nice day after lunch we were all outside playing and working. Tammy here for awhile in the afternoon and after they all left Ruby did some work on the flower bed at the front of our driveway. Started cluing up the work a little after 3 pm. After supper and the news we went for a walk. Time to relax.

Day 210

Great day here today - sunny and warm - nice!!!!!
Wii 1st thing. Ruby into Woodstock first thing this morning. After breakfast and some paper work etc I did some more work on our new deck. Finished laying the Dec-Blocks for the main section. I met Noel at his place at 4 pm and we went into our hunting spot and did some shooting with our guns and change cards in my trail camera. Noel's gun scope is right on but my gun's scope needed some adjusting and still needs some fine tuning. The iron sights on my gun are on though. We will have to do some more adjusting on my scope later. We did not get any pictures of any deers on the trail camera, lots of sign though, but we got some squirrels, raccoons and turkeys (see pics below). Hopefully we'll get a crack at them turkeys next month. Hey Bruce you coming up to try this turkey hunting with us - its open until May 31st. Ruby did her Wii while we were gone. We had a late supper and relax time after.

Day 209

Cloudy this morning but cleared up before lunch and a nice sunny day there after.
Win 1st thing. After breakfast Ruby did her Wii and I went out and got started on our new deck. Tammy dropped Damien and Payton of before lunch. After lunch they were out having a great time helping with the work and playing. After Tammy picked up the grandkids we finished with the deck for the day (we don't work after 3 pm lol) and went for a walk before supper. Relax time then. Also got the call from the people I bought the guns from yesterday with 3 reference #s that I have to call in to get the paper work straightened up on the guns.

Day 208

Cloudy and cool here this morning but started raining just before lunch and rained the rest of the day.
Up at the crack with the grandkids - loving it - although Payton did sleep in a little bit this morning. After breakfast I picked up Noel and we went to a gun show in Tavistock. We found 2 guns we liked so we checked if we could make a trade on one with my 30-30 (can't be used up here). We went back to Noel's and got my gun and took it to the show so he could check the gun out. He offered a reasonable deal (I thought) so I traded my 30-30 plus a little cash for my gun and Noel bought his gun from another table. We both got a marlin 22 magnum with scope - different models. We figured they would be a good varmint rifles up here - shots are cheap ( for target practice) and good for anything from a squirrel to a coyote. Noel picked the grandkids up after lunch. We did a bit of relaxing (Sunday again lol) and before supper I sprinkled some lawn seed on the low points I had filled in our lots and raked it in. Needed to be wet so it was a good time with the rain. After supper I went online and purchased mine and Noel's fishing and small game licences - they are good until Dec 2010. Relax time after.
