Nice sunny day here today and 15º. Its 11º here now.
Out for a walk first thing this morning. After breakfast did some work around the lot and then mowed the grass. Ruby out for her walk. In the afternoon we watched the Bruins/Flyers hockey game. After supper we went up to the park chalet for a get together with the park residents - a BOYB & Snacks thing. Most all residents are back from down south now. Getting ready now to watch the Canucks/Predators hockey game.

Day 606
Cold windy day here today and 7º. Its 6º here now.
Did my morning bus run and stopped for tea and fuel after. After breakfast out for a walk. Ruby into Woodstock for some shopping and I did my afternoon bus run. Relaxing now and watching some hockey.

Day 605
Started out warm this morning (16º) but cooled down during the day (8º) with very high winds. Its 9º here now.
Did my morning bus run. After breakfast I went to an RV service garage in Woodstock and set up an appointment to get our motorhome serviced. The did my afternoon bus run. While I was gone Tammy dropped Payton here on her way to work. Ruby and Payton went in and picked up Damien when he got out of school. Noel here after he got home from work. After supper Ruby took Payton to her dance class and Noel took Damien to his karate. Noel picked Payton up here on his way home from karate.

Day 604
Foggy early this morning and some sun, some thunder showers, some cloud throughout the day and 23º. Its sunny here now and 19º.
Did my morning bus run in the fog and stopped for fuel after. After I got home I went for a walk and got caught in a thunder storm - Ruby came and picked me up. After breakfast got caught up on some paper work. Then off for my afternoon bus run. Had a severe thunder storm after I left the school - hard rain and very high winds. The wind shook the bus and there were trees down across some roads and I had to turn around on one road due to a tree down and do my route a different way. While I was gone Tammy dropped Payton here (Payton sick today so did not go to school) on her way to work. Ruby & Payton went in to Noel's and waited for Damien to get home from school and for Noel to get home from work. Ruby stayed and watched Payton while Noel took Damien to his karate class. After Noel & Damien got home Noel went to his karate and Ruby is with the grandkids until Noel gets back home.

Day 603
Some rain, some cloud & some sun today and 14º. Its 13º here now.
Did my morning bus run and stopped for tea after. Ruby into Woodstock for her meeting. After Ruby got home she got the wild turkey in the oven and then she went for a walk. I went on my afternoon bus run and Tammy dropped Payton here on her way to work. Ruby and Payton went in and picked up Damien from school. When they got back here they had there Easter egg hunt - a bit late but to busy on Easter Sunday. Noel here after work and Ruby had a nice turkey supper ready. Its the first time any of us had tried wild turkey. Th dark meat was really dark and tough but the white meat from the breasts was juicy and tender. After supper me and Noel took the grandkids to their soccer and Ruby came in after she had cleaned up. Me & Noel left after Ruby got there as Noel had to go to his karate. He dropped me at the park on his way. After soccer Ruby took the grandkids home and stayed with them until Noel got home.

Day 602
Cloudy here today with rain starting after lunch and 12º. Its 7º with rain here now.
In turkey hunting (by myself as Noel had to work) this morning. Got to our blind at 6:30 am and made a few calls and at 7:30 2 toms came and strutted for our decoys. It took 3 shots but I got one of them. There were 2 other hunters calling turkeys across the brook - not sure if my calls or their calls worked but the birds were on my side of the brook and I manage to get one. I stopped in on my way home to show the grandkids. After I got home and had breakfast I checked around to see if anyone around here cleaned wild turkeys but couldn't find anyone. I decided to do it myself so I placed the turkey in a tub of hot water for a few minutes (suppose to make them easier to pluck) and then hung it in my shed. It wasn't hard to pluck and came nice and clean. After plucking I gutted it and then Ruby washed it and placed it in a tub of marinated water for 4 hours. After that she took it out and we are planning on having it for supper tomorrow night. Can't wait to see how it tastes although Ruby is a bit apprehensive. After I finished with the turkey I cleaned and put away my hunting gear. Then I went down to the end of the park and got Adrian's trailer and me and Vic took the limbs I had cut of our trees on Friday to the pile at the end of the park. Relaxing after that and watching some hockey now.

Day 601
HAPPY EASTER TO ALL OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Cloudy with sunny periods here today and 15º. Its 12º here now.
Ruby got a new coat for Easter - check the pics.
Into Noel's this morning to bring in the grandkids gifts etc. We then all went to Michelle's (Tammy's mom) for Easter brunch - quite the feed - she did a great job. After we got back home we relaxed - to full to do anything, eat too much lol - and watched some hockey. Watching the Canucks/Blackhawks game now.

Day 600
Great sunny day here today and 20º. Its 12º here now.
Into Tavistock and Woodstock first thing this morning to pick up a few things. After breakfast did some work out in the shed and Ruby went for a walk. After lunch me and Noel went into our hunting place to check the pics on our trail cams - lots of deer but no turkeys. After I got back home I trimmed some of the lower limbs of the trees in front of the trailer and trimmed a couple for our neighbour. After supper we relaxed and now watching the Bruins/Habs hockey game - GO RYDER!!!!!!
