Day 187

Another beautiful warm sunny day here today.
After breakfast I went into Noel's where we checked out the noise coming from the front of his truck engine. We found a bad bearing in a drive belt idler wheel. We went to Canadian Tire but could not get one so we greased bearing in wheel and put wheel back on - seems to be ok now but needs to be replaced. He also has a bad bearing in his alternator. We also changed oil, oil filter and air filter in his truck. While I was gone Ruby did her Wii workout and had a walk. After I go home I went for a walk - was a great day for it. Noel, Damien and Payton here for supper. After they left we relaxed for the rest of the evening.

Day 186

Beautiful sunny, warm day again today.
Wii 1st thing. After breakfast I cleaned the corn stove and Ruby got at her laundry and house cleaning. Then I unpacked Ruby's new washer and brought it in the trailer. She will use it at the kitchen sink for now and hopefully I will be able to get it hooked up permanently later. We plan on setting the washer and dryer up in the porch along side of the wardrobe. Ruby also got back at her Wii workout today. I went for a walk at 3 pm and met Noel, Damien & Payton on their way here for supper - got a ride back with them. Before supper I did Noel and Tammy's income tax - it's that time of year again. After Noel and the grandkids left we relaxed for the rest of the evening.

Day 185

Great sunny day again today.
Wii 1st thing - Carla did hers right after. After gathering all their gear etc we managed to get on the road at 1015 am to take Carla & Kim to Toronto - not bad for 3 women getting ready in a small place. We arrived at Chinatown in Toronto at 1145 am. Did some looking around (shopping for the women) at the Dragon City Mall and then we walked to the Chinatown Center which is in the same building as the hotel where the girls are staying. Lots and lots of shops etc in Chinatown, you would need a couple of days to walk the streets and have a look. At around 2 pm Carla & Kim checked in. It's a nice hotel and we had a look at their room - nice. We then left to walk back to our vehicle (underground parking), Ruby picked up some pastries on the way, and brought their luggage to the hotel front. We then said goodbye to the girls, gonna miss them, and headed home. We stopped in Cambridge to have supper and arrived home at 630 pm. After we got settled away we relaxed and watched a movie.
We hope Carla and Kim had a good time here with us, we enjoyed having them. It was so good to see Carla again.

Day 184

Nice sunny day today but not quite as warm as the previous few days with the wind, but still a great day.
Wii 1st thing. Tammy dropped of Damien & Payton before lunch. After lunch we took them sliding in the park. Ruby was very nervous of Payton sliding because she has no fear and wanted to start at the top but Ruby wouldn't let her. Ruby got in front of her once at the bottom to stop her but she knocked Ruby down, Payton thought this was lots of fun (see last pic). Damien has no problem as he can steer his sled where he wants to go but Payton don't care where she goes lol. She has a steering wheel on her sled too but she doesn't steer very well yet. We had 4 cones set up and Damien could steer through them easily. Also Payton cut across the hill once and Damien avoided an accident by steering around her - Ruby was doing lots of yelling lol. After we went home Tammy came for a while and picked them up and I went for a walk. At 7 pm we all went into Noel's for Carla and Kim to say goodbye as we are taking them into Toronto tomorrow morning. Its gonna be a struggle to get 3 woman on the road early in the morning lol.

Day 183

Another warm sunny day here today - we are getting great weather up here now.
Up bright and early with the grandkids. Wii 1st thing. After breakfast took the straps of Payton's car seat to convert it from a baby's seat to a toddler's seat so she can use it with the seat belt - she was so proud because she's getting to be a big girl. After lunch we took them in to Woodstock for skating and then to Walmart for them to spend their allowance we give them - it doesn't last long lol. We drop the grandkids of at home and when we got home Carla did her Wii workout and I went for a walk before supper. We all relaxed a bit after supper and watched some TV.

Day 182

Beautiful warm, sunny, springlike day here today.

Wii 1st thing. Carla did her Wii workout after. Tammy dropped of Payton at 0830 this morning as she had to go on a school field trip with Damien. Ruby into Woodstock this morning. After Ruby got back and after lunch I went for a walk. Me & Payton went for a walk around the park when I got back. Carla and Kim went for a walk before supper. While they were gone we decorated the trailer for a surprise birthday supper for Kim. Payton was so excited. Tammy and Damien here before supper and Noel came after he got home from work. All the crew here. The grandkids here for a sleepover also. They have just gone to bed, it's quiet here now lol, and we will soon as I'm sure they will be up bright and early tomorrow morning and we have another busy day lined up with them tomorrow.

Day 181

Another nice mild day.
Me and Carla did our Wii workout 1st thing. Ruby had to go into Woodstock. After breakfast I went for a walk. Payton here for lunch. After Tammy picked Payton up we took the girls to London to do some shopping. Took them to 3 malls and to supper at Kings Buffet. I think Carla liked the food, she eat 2 platefuls plus 2 platefuls of desert. Most food we ever seen her eat lol. Got back home at 10pm.
