Day 2227

A mostly sunny day here today and 9. Its 6 here now.
Landon over with us for breakfast this morning. Spent the morning enjoying his company and put a mirror up in Payton's room. After lunch we went into Woodstock to pick up a few things. When we got back I took Landon for a ride in his car. Noel picked up Damien & Payton on his way home from work. Bob here for supper with us and Ruby had a great stew with dumplings made.

Day 2226

A mix of sun and cloud here today with a strong cold wind and 8. Its 5 here now.
Landon over for breakfast with us this morning. After breakfast I got back at finishing up the insulating etc in the house basement furnace / storage room. After lunch I caulked a few joins in the shed base channel - getting some water seeping in during rain. Noel picked up Damien & Payton on his way home from work and all here for supper.

Day 2225

A wet day here today with rain all day and 16. Its 15 here now.
Landon over for breakfast with us this morning. After breakfast I spent the day doing some insulating etc in the basement furnace / storage room in the house. Noel picked up Damien & Payton on his way home from work and we all had supper at Noel's. After supper Sara & Brooke here and the kids carved their pumpkins.

A cloudy day here today and 12. Its 7 here now.
Ruby into Woodstock this morning for her meeting and shopping after. Landon over for breakfast with me and stayed until his nap time. After lunch I got at checking things to get the motorhome ready for our trip down south - checked pressure on MH & car dolly tires and topped them up, checked all fluids, removed and stored wheel covers, checked backup camera, started MH, etc.Damien & Payton here after school and Ruby had supper made for the whole family.

A mix of sun and cloud here today and 11. Its 5 here now.
Landon over for breakfast with us this morning. After lunch I went to a golf course in Woodstock where I met 2 guys from BVP and played 18 holes of golf with them - probably the last golf until we get to Florida. After I got back home we got ready and went back into Woodstock to get our flu shot. Damien & Payton here and we all had supper together at Noel's.

Day 2222

A mostly sunny day here today and 13. Its 3 here now.
Out for a walk this morning. After breakfast me and Noel put away the things around the garden - Landon's toys, garden furniture etc. We then mowed and trimmed the lawn - last time for this year. After we finished I cleaned the push mower & edger and put them away. Then Bob & Sue here and we all had supper at Noel's. After supper 6 of us played a game of fast track.

Day 2221

A wet day here today with rain throughout the day and 17. Its 15 here now.
Got Damien & Payton on the go this morning and their mom picked them up on her way home from work. Landon here for breakfast with us. Ruby finished up wrapping our Christmas gifts for the family and we then stored them at Noel's. After that we watched Landon while Noel & Sarah went out for a while and we watched a movie while they were gone. They brought back a batch of Thai food for supper.

A sunny day here today and 11. Its 6 here now.
Got Damien & Payton their breakfast this morning and then Noel took them to school. Landon here for breakfast with me. After lunch we took Justin to a hotel in Hamilton - he's their for a wedding this weekend. After we got back home we rested up for the Blue Jays ball game tonight.

A mostly sunny day here today and 17. Its 8 here now.
After  breakfast this morning me and Noel went to the Toronto Airport to pick up Justin and brought him back to Noel's. In the afternoon Damien & Payton were dropped off here by their mom. Ruby had a great supper (ham, scallop potatoes, corn dish, etc) prepared for everyone. Damien & Payton are sleeping here with us tonight and Justin is sleeping at Noel's.

Day 2218

A cloudy day here today with a few lite showers and 17. Its 14 here now.
Over to Noel's this morning to start up his well water pump and check it out. After breakfast I adjusted the pressure switch on the pump and seems to be working good now. After lunch we went into Woodstock to pick up a few things. When we got back home I took Landon for a ride in his car. We then watched the Blue Jays ball Game.

A mostly cloudy day here today with a few showers and 19. Its 12 here now.
Ruby into Woodstock this morning for her meeting and shopping after. Landon over for breakfast with me,  I then went for a walk. After lunch I went into Woodstock with Sarah & Landon for Landon to see a doctor. Over to Noel's to watch the Blue Jays ball game & supper but he had trouble with his well water pump - pump running but no water or pressure. Noel had to go to work so me and Bob got at the pump problem. Repaired 3 leaks in joins, pressurized the bladders in the pressure tanks and managed to get enough water for tonight. It seems as if there wasn't enough water in the well to fill the tanks so will let the well fill overnight and try again tomorrow morning. Missed most of the ball game but wasn't a good game to watch anyway.

Day 2216

A mostly sunny windy day here today and 14. Its 13 here now.
Got up to frozen water line this morning - valve frozen plus white hose from valve to motorhome. Heated valve to thaw it and hooked up spare hose to motorhome to get water back. Landon here for Ruby to watch while Noel & Sarah went to see Sarah's doctor. I took Damien & Payton to their school in Hickson. After I got back I started putting things away for the winter - flower pots, hose reel, garden lights, lawn furniture, etc. In the afternoon we went to Beachville to vote. Landon here and had supper with us. Gonna watch some election results & the Blue Jays ball game now.

Day 2215

A cold sunny day here today and 6. Its 0 here now.
After breakfast this morning we went into Woodstock where we picked up Yvonne and then went to a hospital in London to see Gerry. They are the couple that we golf wit each Sunday and Gerry is in the hospital.On the way back home we dropped Yvonne at her friends place in Ingersoll. Over to Noel's for supper and Damien & Payton are here with us for the night.

A cloudy windy cold daay here today and 4. Its 1 here now.
Out for a walk this morning. After breakfast I went into Woodstock to get our stay-a-while propane tank filled for the motorhome. In the afternoon we went over tp Noel's to watch the Blue Jays ball game and supper. Payton is staying with us tonight.

Day 2213

A bit of everything weather wise here today with sun, cloud, wind, rain showers, & hail and 10. Its 5 here now.
Couldn't do much outside today due to the weather so did a few small jobs inside. Landon kept us company during the day and Sarah & Landon here with us for supper. Watching the Blue Jays ball game now.

Sunny here in the morning, cloudy in the afternoon and showers in the evening here today and 18. Its 10 here now.
Into Woodstock this morning where I met two guys from BVP and played 18 holes of golf with them. Into the clubhouse after the game for a refreshment. Relaxing after I got back home. Landon here for supper with us.

Day 2211

A cool cloudy day here today and 12. Its 7 here now.
After breakfast this morning me and Noel repaired the hydro pole in their yard. He checked with Hydro One and its not their pole but Noel's and it is rotting at the base. We drove 3 pieces of 1 1/2" * 1/4" * 8' long angle iron in the ground around the pole - 4' in the ground and 4' above ground. Then we strapped the angle iron to the pole with hose clamps around the angle iron and the pole. After we finished we went into Woodstock to pick up a headlight for Sarah's van and installed it when we got back. Then it was time to watch the Blue Jays game. We all watched it at Noel's, along with Bob, and bologna sandwiches for supper. Congrats Jays!!!!

Day 2210

A cloudy day here today with a cool wind , rain showers in the afternoon and 15. Its 12 here now.
Ruby into Woodstock this morning for her meeting and shopping ater. I went into Woodstock with Noel to pick up a set of lights for the utility trailer. After we got back we installed the lights. Then loaded Noel's JD ride on mower and took it to the John Deere dealer in Tavistock to be serviced.  On the way back we stopped in Woodstock to pick up some angle iron and straps to do repairs to the hydro pole on Noel's property - will pick up the angle iron later as it had to be cut. In the afternoon we took Landon with us and picked up the angle iron in Woodstock and Noel's mower in Tavistock. Sarah had a cake for Noel's birthday after our supper. We then unloaded the mower and put it in the shelter.

Day 2209

A nice sunny day here today and 22. Its 19 here now.
Out for a walk this morning. After breakfast got at the light wiring on the utility trailer - removed the old lights and straightened out the wiring. Will have to get new lights later. After lunch I shortened the legs on a chair that Noel & sarah had in their house. Then repaired one of the legs on their kitchen table. All of us then watched the Blue Jays ball game at Noel's with pizza & wings for supper. We then had a few games of fast track to finish up the evening.

A sunny day here today and 19. Its 16 here now.
A mostly relaxing day here today with the grandkids. I did a little repair job on the fridge doors in the motorhome, we took the grandkids for a walk through the woods in back of the house. After supper we went into Woodstock to pick up our meds for our trip down south. Gonna watch the Blue Jays ball game now  - hope they win.

A sunny day here today and 15. Its 11 here now.
Grandkids here this morning while Noel & Sarah went for a checkup on the baby - all good. Ruby was making birthday cakes and doing some cooking for the Thanksgiving / birthday / birthday supper. I took Damien to his karate class in Bright but no class due to the long weekend. In the afternoon all Sarah's family here to celebrate Thanksgiving, Noel's birthday (Oct 13) & Damien's birthday (Oct 15). Everyone did so much of the cooking and we had a great turkey supper with birthday cake for dessert and gift opening after.
