Day 994

Finally getting back at our blog.
Warm sunny day here today and 27º. Its 23º here now.
Ruby into Tammy's at 6 am for her to go to work and to wait for the grandkids to get up. After they got up she brought them to our place for breakfast. After breakfast we took them to school and them Ruby brought me to Woodstock where I picked up my school bus from the spare driver. Ruby busy during the day unpacking from our trip. I did my afternoon bus run and Ruby into Woodstock to pick up a few things. Noel here for supper and then we went into Tammy's to install new rotors and brake shoes on the front of his truck. The grandkids came back with us to drop me off and then Noel took them to his place.

Days 980 to 993
Left home on May 09 and headed to Toronto to pick up Val & Wayne at the airport. Spent the morning around Toronto and checked into our hotel in the afternoon. Janine and John at the hotel after supper. We flew to Miami in the morning of May 10 and Janine, John, Pay & David flew down shortly after and we all met up at the Miami Airport. Picked up a van we had booked and then headed for the hotel. Out for a stroll that evening. Next morning, May 11,  we went to IHOP for breakfast, did some riding around and then checked out a few malls. On May 12, me & Wayne returned the van to the rental agency at the airport. We then packed up and got a shuttle to the cruise ship. Everyone got checked in and settled in their rooms. The next morning, May 13, we were at Half Moon Kay for the day. Its a private island owned by the cruise line, no dock so we had to be brought ashore by small boats. Spent the day sunning and swimming - everyone got greedy with the sun and burned. May 14th was a day at sea. On May 15th we were in port at St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Spent the day checking out the town etc. May 16th we were in port at San Juan, Porta Rico. Walked around the old part of the city - quite the place. On May 17th we were in port at Grand Turk. Me, Pat & David did an excursion, swimming with the stingrays and snorkeling - a great excursion which we found very enjoyable. The rest spent the day around the beach etc. May 18th was another day at sea and we arrived back in Miami in the morning of May 19th. We checked into our hotel and that afternoon we all went to Miami Beach - man what a beach. The next morning, May 20th, Val, Wayne, Janine & John left for the airport and headed home. Me, Ruby, Pat & David spent the day at the malls picking up some things for the kids. On May 21 the four of us spent the day at Miami Beach relaxing and swimming. The next morning, May 22, It was time to head back home. Our flight was delayed 1 & 1/2 hours due to lightening storms in Miami and Pat & David's were delayed for the same reason. We arrived home at 9 pm last night but Pat & David were late for their connection to New Brunswick and had to spend a night in Toronto and will get home tonight. Whew I think I covered it - but its just a short recap.
It was a fabulous trip with great friends and family - great time and great memories.
