Mild cloudy day here today with some sun and 8º. Its 8º here now.
Did part of my morning bus run but could not do most of the rural (gravel) roads due to the slippery conditions. Had rain overnight and the rural roads were very slippery. Did one but did not pick up the students on the rest of my rural route - just picked up from the paved roads. Most bus drivers had to do the same. Stopped for tea after. Then called Innerkip to get my bus checked as there was a bad vibration in it. Went to Innerkip and they determined it was a bad rear u-joint. I went home in a spare bus. After breakfast I went up on the roof and removed any ice remaining there and removed the ice from the eaves trough. Ruby made a batch of jam today. I then checked with the shop in Innerkip before I did my afternoon run. My bus was not ready so I did my afternoon run using the spare and after my run I went to Innerkip and got my own bus - its good now. Some relaxing after supper.

Day 534
Nice mild day here today. Cloudy in the morning but some sun in the afternoon and 4º. Its 2º here now. Our snow is getting quite the cutting.
Did my morning bus run and stopped for tea after - had some freezing rain while doing my run. We relaxed after breakfast today and then it was off on my afternoon bus run. Some more relaxing after supper.

Nice sunny day here today and -4º. Its -6º here now.
Frosty (-15º) start to my morning bus run. Stopped for tea and then for fuel after. Ruby into Woodstock this morning for her meeting and some shopping. After breakfast I went for a walk. Then off to do my afternoon bus run. After supper it was some R & R.

Day 532
Nice mild morning here (4º) but windy and cooled off in the afternoon. Its -4º here now.
Great morning for my bus run and stopped for tea after. After breakfast we got at planning our trip home this summer. We got our stops planned, parks booked and the ferry booked - we are really looking forward to it. Then off on my afternoon bus run. Some relaxing after supper

Day 531
Cloudy mild day here today and +3º. Its +3º here now.
Up bright and early with the grandkids. After breakfast the power went off. I went out and cleaned up some more snow - had about 4 cms overnight - cleaned up snow twice yesterday. I then went down and cleaned the snow off my bus. After I got back I shoveled the snow from the roof of our home - about 2 feet of snow on there but it calls for mild temps and some snow/rain this week so could get heavy. The power was still off so I started our generator and hook up to the trailer as it was starting to cool down inside. Its the second time since we moved here that I had to use it for power so it comes in handy. I then went into Noel's and gave him a hand to change the front brake shoes on Tammy's van. When I got home the power was still off in the park so we got ready to go into Noel's for Tammy's birthday supper and to shower as we had no water but just as we were leaving the park the power came back on. We went back and shut down the generator and put it away etc. We then went to Noel's where we had a great birthday supper along with the birthday cake. Just getting home now and gonna relax a bit before bed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAMMY !!!!!!!
Windy and flurries here this morning but sunny in the afternoon and -4º. Its -9º here now.
Out for a walk first thing this morning. After breakfast we stripped another wall and caulked around the windows etc. After supper Noel dropped the grandkids here for a sleepover - they are all settled down now.

Day 529

Another frosty (-19º) morning for my bus run. Stopped for tea after. After breakfast I went for a walk. Fueled up on my way to the school in the afternoon. While I was gone Ruby went in and picked up Damien & Payton after they got out of school. When I got home we took them to their gymnastics in Woodstock. After that we took them for supper at, where else, McD's. Then we took them shopping with their monthly allowance. Ruby just took them home to get them ready for bed and stay with them until Tammy gets home from work.
