Did home schooling with Landon & Charlie this morning. After breakfast me, gramma, Landon and Charlie went to Costco in Waterloo - had our Costco ice cream. After we left Costco we made a couple more stops before heading back home. Stopped at a McDs in New Hamburg for the grandkids to get there kids meal. After we got home I went for a walk before supper. Charlie sleeping here with us tonight.

Day 3989
A mostly sunny day here today and 27. Its 25 here now.
Did home schooling with Landon & Charlie this morning. After breakfast I went for a walk. After lunch I had another go at repairing the pool pump - took it apart a couple of times and it starts but only runs for a little while. It's worn out. Then a truck here with the metal roofing for the lean-to and I helped the driver unload it. Landon and Charlie here with us all day and they are sleeping here with us tonight.

A few showers early in the morning here today with a mix of sun and cloud after and 28. Its 26 here now.
After breakfast this morning I went for a walk. After lunch I checked out the pool pump - got it working again but only lasted for awhile. Landon and Charlie back with us in the afternoon from Sarah's mom and dad and they are sleeping here with us tonight.

Did some home schooling with Landon and Charlie this morning. After breakfast I went for a walk. After lunch I went into Woodstock to pick up a few things. When I got back I installed new hoses on the pool filter pump - pump ran for awhile then stopped again. Will have another look at it tomorrow. Landon and Charlie here with us all day.

Day 3981 to Day 3984
Last 4 days a mix of sun and cloud here and 27 on Wed, 28 on Thurs & Fri and 29 here today. Its 26 here now.
Got a bit of a scare on Wednesday morning. Wasn't feeling well when I got up and while I was doing Landon's schooling with him I started to get chest pains and dizzy. Called Ruby and told her to call 911. She gave me a 81 mg aspirin. Ambulance came and took me to the hospital and went they checked my blood pressure it was sky high. Gave me a aspirin and after awhile the pain ease off. They did an ECG, blood work etc and then admitted me to the CCU. That evening I had another episode with chest pain and blood pressure went up again and the nurse gave me a spray of nitro under my tongue and the pain went away and blood pressure went back to normal. Thay had me on blood thinners and pills.
On Thursday I had an echocardiogram (ultrasound) on my heart and all looked good. Again that evening my blood pressure shot up for one reading.
On Friday they shipped me to the hospital in London in a medical van where I had an angiogram (dye test) done. No blockages found but they did find a very minor bit of diseased artery but nothing to cause any problems. After that they brought me back to the Woodstock hospital where they doubled my BP meds. BP stayed down around normal after that.
On Saturday I was discharged after seeing the doctor. Got my instructions etc and a prescription for BP meds and aspirin.
This old age thing isn't what its cracked up to be lol.

Cloudy in the morning here today with sun in the afternoon and 27. Its 26 here now.
After breakfast this morning I went to a medical center in Waterloo to get a physical and medical report for my bus licence. When I got back home I went for a walk. Spent the afternoon making a few phone calls, paper work etc. Landon sleeping here with us tonight.

A sunny day here today and 28. Its 26 here now.
After breakfast this morning I went to a golf course in Woodstock where I played 18 holes along with 2 other guys. After golf we went in the clubhouse for a refreshment. I then made a couple of stops in Woodstock before returning home. Grandkids up to keep gramma company.

This day started out hot and humid but we got thunderstorms and tornado warnings just before noon with showers thereafter and 28. Its 22 here now.
It as mostly a relaxing Sunday today. Grandkids here to help us relax lol and watching golf. Still getting over our busy week at the cottage - must be getting old lol.

Days 3970 to 3977
Cottage trip from Saturday, July 11th to Saturday July 18th.
Left home at 0950 on Saturday, July 11th and arrived at our rented cottage on Georgian Bay at 1540. The owners met us there and we then got things unloaded and set up for the week. Had a great week and had great weather - had rain while driving to the cottage and rain for one day after that. Temps were great for the week. Had fun swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, fishing, etc, - Payton and Landon caught their first fish. We filleted a few and gramma cooked them - tasty. Saw lots of wildlife - deer, bears (mom & 2 cubs), weasel, geese, ducks, snakes, etc. Even saw a snake eat a fish. Left for home on Saturday, July 18th at 0900 and arrived home at 1430. Unloaded the 3 vehicles, packed things away and relax time now as everyone is tired after a non-stop week.
