Day 10 of quarantine...
A mostly cloudy day here today with a few sunny periods and a strong cold wind and 7. Its 6 here now.
After breakfast this morning I went out for my walk around the property. Then we were inside for the day due to the cold weather - Ruby did some baking and I watched some golf. Got our results back today from our Wednesday Covid-19 tests - both of us negative. 3 negative tests each in 10 days - should be good to go on May 5th.
Day 9 of quarantine...
A cloudy wet day here today with rain all day and 12. Its 9 here now.
A day in the trailer today due to the wet weather. Did Damien's income tax, finished up Noel's and filed both. Ruby did some more baking. Watched a movie and golf.
Day 8 of quarantine...
A mix of sun and cloud here today and 25. Its 18 here now.
We were up early this morning and logged on to Watch Health to get our 2nd Covid-19 test done - only 378 ahead of us. After 1 1/2 hours we got to talk to a nurse and she walked us through the process in about 20 minutes. Then booked Purolator to pick them up in the afternoon and put them down on Noel's deck for them to pick up there. After breakfast I went out for my walk around the property and while I was doing that got a call from Purolator that they would be coming in the morning. They picked up at 1047 - now to wait for the results. Also while I was out walking got a call from the government checking to see how we were doing. After lunch I started at Noel's income tax. Ruby did some more baking and cooking.

Day 7 of quarantine...
A mix of sun and cloud here today and 22. Its 21 here now.
After breakfast this morning I went out for my walk around the property. After lunch I finished up the accounting for Noel's company and got some things ready to do his income tax. Grandkids out in the yard enjoying the warm weather and gramma out on our deck watching them while keeping her distance.
Day 6 of quarantine...
Sunny in the morning here today and cloudy in the late afternoon with a cold wind and 9. Its 6 here now.
After breakfast this morning I did my walk around the property. Then got at doing some catching up with the accounting for Noel's company. Got most of it brought up to date, will finish up tomorrow.
Day 5 of quarantine...
A cloudy day here today with a cold wind and 9. Its 4 here now.
After breakfast I set up an iPad for Sarah. Ruby cooked up a great supper - salt beef, chicken, dressing and all the trimmings. She also did a little baking. I watched the Jays ball game plus the golf.
Day 4 of quarantine...
A sunny day here today with clouds in the late afternoon and 17. Its 13 here now.
After breakfast I did my walk around and around and around the property. Sarah out to pick up some groceries for us. Out on our deck enjoying the sunshine and watching the grandkids playing in the garden, they know they have to stay off our deck.
Day 3 of quarantine...
A mostly sunny day here today with a cool wind and 17. Its 16 here now.
After breakfast this morning I did a 5 km walk around the perimeter of the property - not allowed to step over the property line. Did some reading on the deck. Ruby finding it hard to stay clear of the grandkids. Got our results back for the Covid-19 test we had done Wednesday at the border - both negative.
Day 2 of quarantine...
A mostly cloudy day here today with some flurries, some sun and a cold wind and 5. Its 4 here now.
Spent the day doing some more unpacking, organizing things, getting caught up on our mail, etc, etc.... Always lots to do the first couple of days back.
Day 1 of quarantine....
Woke up to about 3" of snow in Erie, PA this morning and -2. High of 1 here today and its -1 here now.
Picked up our breakfast at the hotel this morning and took it back to our room. Then got the results of our Covid-19 tests we had done in Tampa Monday morning - both negative. After that I went out and cleaned the snow of our vehicle - first time I cleaned snow of a vehicle in years lol. We left our hotel in Erie, PA at 0915 and went to a grocery store to pick up some groceries to bring home with us. We arrived at the border in Fort Erie at 1205. Only 2 vehicles ahead of us. We were asked the standard questions, had the ArriveCan app registered for our quarantine plan which showed up when our passports were scanned and showed our negative test results on our phones. Then given 4 test kits and told we could do 2 tests each at home or have 1 test each done there and take 2 home with us. We the went to the Red Cross tents set up there and did our 1st tests under the direction of a nurse - we were set up on Switch Health which sped things up which they really appreciated. After that we headed for home and arrived there at 1410. Noel, Sarah, Landon & Charlie had our trailer all set up for us when we got there. Spent the rest of the day unpacking etc. Grandkids counting down the day when they can move up with us lol....
Our travels today....
A good day driving today with sun for most of the way but got cloudy and cold as we got close to our destination, traffic was normal with no slow downs and the usual amount of construction. Its 3 degrees here in Erie, PA now - brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
After a muffin breakfast in our room we left our hotel in Charlotte, NC at 0745, made a few stops along the way and arrived at our hotel in Erie, PA at 1645. Got settled in and then ordered online, picked it up and ate in our room. After supper we video chatted with the family.
