Day 1652

A mix of sun and cloud here today and 23º. Its 17º here now.

Out for a few laps around the park this morning. Ruby to the park hall for her exercise class. After breakfast got back at finishing up the paperwork for the past month and a half. In the afternoon 23 of us from our park went to the Largo American Legion for a feed of wings & fries and stayed for the music after.

Said our goodbyes this morning and then Noel and Bob took us to the Toronto Airport for our flight back to Florida. We were almost an hour late leaving Toronto and the flight was uneventful until we got almost to Tampa. We then ran into a wicked thunderstorm while trying to land. The pilot had to circle 3 times before he managed to land and it was very rough with hardly any visibility - Ruby was not impressed lol. When we finally did land we had to wait on the tarmac as the ground crew couldn't get out because of the lightning. After we got of the plane we also had to wait for our luggage to be unloaded for the same reason. Mike picked us up and brought us to our park and by that time the storm was over. Good to be back in the warm.

Today:

After a lite breakfast 6 of us from our park went to Treasure Island where we met Gerry & Yvonne for nine holes of golf - good to be back playing. All of us then went out for lunch. After we go back home I got at doing some catching up on paperwork - lots of it to do as I haven't done any for a month and a half. Will take a couple of days to get everything up to date.

Day 1649

A cloudy windy day here today with some showers and 6º. Its 4º here now.

Another day enjoying the grandkids. Did some more adjustments on Noel's garage door this morning. After lunch I went into BVP park and picked up our mail. Then into Woodstock to do a little business. After I got back I went for a walk. Ruby cooked up a great supper of scallop potatoes and pork chops. Noel picked up Damien and Payton on his way home from work. Damien is here for the night but he took Payton to her moms after supper as she is gonna have a sleepover with her friend and an outing with her Sparks class tomorrow.

A cloudy day here today with a cold wind and some wet flurries in the afternoon and 1º. Its 0º here now.

Out for a walk this morning. Spent the day enjoying Landon. Tammy dropped the grandkids here after school. After supper me & Ruby went to a store in Tillsonburg to pick up a vinyl shed that they had on sale. When we got back Noel unloaded it to store in his garage until we get back from Florida when I will set it up on our lot in Braemar Valley Park. Noel then took the grandkids to their mom's.

Day 1647

A mostly sunny day here today with a cold wind and -8º. Its -8º here now.

Went to Thamesford this morning to see our family doctor for a followup on my hernia surgery - everything looks good. Then back to Woodstock to pick up a few things. After I got back home I finished up painting Noel's trim - only took 13 coats to cover lol. I then contacted our travel insurance to get things straightened out with them for our return to Florida. Also extended our insurance so we can stay down there a little longer. I then took Harley for a walk and after went for a walk by myself. Noel picked up the grandkids on his way home from work and brought them back after supper.

Ruby into Woodstock this morning for her meeting and some shopping after. I painted the facings etc that I repaired yesterday - still putting on coats of paint. Took Harley for a walk before lunch. Installed name signs for Payton & Landon's rooms. Went for a long walk before supper. Noel picked up Damien (Payton had Sparks) on his way home from work and taking him back to his mom now.
